Evidence folders that survive diligence week

Diligence weeks fail in the folder structure long before they fail in the interview room. When an investor’s advisor asks for change-management samples and receives a mixed dump of tickets, trust erodes quickly.

Index before content

Create an index that mirrors the request list: control name, period, artefact type, owner, and file path. Populate artefacts second. An index with missing files is still more honest — and faster to fix — than a maze of nested folders named after people who left.

Version discipline

Stamp each policy with effective dates. If two versions circulated during the sample period, say so. Auditors for fintech groups would rather see a controlled transition note than a silently overwritten PDF.

Who may upload

Limit edit rights on the diligence pack. Uncontrolled uploads introduce outdated screenshots that contradict newer exports. One compliance coordinator with a deputy is enough for most Series A–B rooms we support through our Investor Diligence Audit Pack work.
